Rubber Strainer Screw & Barrel

A strainer pushes compound through a screen pack to pull out contamination before calendering or moulding. The screw works against real back pressure, so it is built heavier than a standard extrusion screw.

Hardfaced flights, heavy-duty barrel, and a head interface machined to your strainer.

Common Questions

Questions Buyers Ask About This Product

Can you match my strainer head?

Yes — send the head drawing or dimensions and we machine the interface to fit.

Why hardfaced flights?

Straining runs against screen back pressure, which loads the flight lands hard. Hardfacing is what keeps the screw in tolerance.

Screw only or full set?

Either. Most customers replace the screw; if the bore is worn we quote the set.
