Hot-Feed Rubber Screw & Barrel

Hot-feed rubber extrusion runs compound that has already been warmed on a mill, so the screw's job is conveyance and stable pressure, not melting. We design the channel and compression for that, with a surface finish that releases cleanly.

Built for hose, profile, cable covering and general rubber goods, nitrided for wear resistance against carbon-black-loaded compounds.

Common Questions

Questions Buyers Ask About This Product

Hot feed or cold feed — what is the difference?

Hot feed takes pre-warmed compound and has a shorter L/D. Cold feed takes room-temperature strip and needs a longer, higher-compression screw. Tell us which your line uses.

Why nitrided for rubber?

Carbon black and mineral fillers are abrasive. Nitriding gives a hard, low-friction surface that resists it.

Can you match my machine?

Yes — machine model, diameter and L/D, or send the worn parts.
