Segment (Modular) Barrels

On a compounder the barrel is a series of short segments, so you replace the worn section instead of the whole barrel. We line them with 2–5 mm alloy and bore them to your machine's geometry.

Supplied as individual segments or a full barrel train, with ports machined to your process layout.

Common Questions

Questions Buyers Ask About This Product

Can I replace just one segment?

Yes — that is the advantage of modular design. Send the segment or its drawing and we reproduce it.

Lined or unlined?

Lined (bimetallic) for abrasive or corrosive compounds; unlined for unfilled resins where cost matters more.

Do you make the ports too?

Yes, feed, vent and liquid injection ports machined to your layout.
